Church Visit

The Naracoorte Presbyterian church recently invited representatives from all local emergency services to attend an appreciation service at the weekly church service and for morning tea afterwards.

Naracoorte Police and SAAS sent representatives, along with six from the Naracoorte CFS Brigade. The normal service usually lasts for about an hour, and we were well into the weekly sermon when we were paged to an alarm at the Naracoorte South School. Four of us quietly exited the church leaving behind the youngest member to represent us.

The alarm was soon sorted (smoke alarm fault) and we returned to the church for morning tea. In our absence, our youngest had received a framed certificate from the church on our behalf.

An interesting morning with several members not seeing the inside of a church for some time previous.
